What Erica Does at CEI
Erica Jenkins is a Program Assistant for the Center for Education Innovation (MSCEI) since January, 2016.
Erica is the proud mother of two daughters Latedra attending Hinds Community College. A’Lexis high school graduate from Pearl High School ranked 33 of 260 graduates! One son Tyler (9) an accelerated Reader Northside Elementary, and he is an All-Star baseball player! She also has a granddaughter Emilie Skye.
Erica Jenkins joined the Center for Education Innovation January 2016, she is a Program Assistant. She received her Associate Degree in Sociology from Hinds Community College in 2012. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Jackson State University in December 2015. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Phi Alpha National Honor Society, and the SWSA. It is her goal to become an advocate and vital resource for families and communities. She feels that someone has to be the voice for people that have no voice in this society. As a Social Worker, she is striving to enhance human well-being and promote social, economic, and political justice with diverse client systems.
Previously, Erica worked at University Medical Center for 13 years as a Data Coordinator. She assisted in the operations of the academic and healthcare system with medical supplies and medical books.
